The Qatar International Centre for Conciliation and Arbitration (QICCA) at Qatar Chamber held two specialised seminars in cooperation with leading law firms, on the sidelines of the “Egyptian Arbitration Days 2025” (EAD) conference, which was recently held in Cairo, Arab Republic of Egypt.

The Center’s delegation was headed by H.E. Dr. Sheikh Thani bin Ali Al Thani, QICCA’s Vice Chairman, and included Ibrahim Shahbek, Secretary-General and Khaled Al Garhe, QICCA’s Legal Counselor.

In addition, QICCA participated in a third session entitled “Arbitration and Investment,” which addressed the most prominent aspects related to the relationship between arbitration and investment, and discussed ways to enhance the role of arbitration in attracting and protecting foreign investments.

In statements, H.E. Dr. Sheikh Thani bin Ali Al Thani said that QICCA’s participation marks an important step reflecting its keenness to maintain an active presence in international legal forums and to foster dialogue on arbitration issues of regional and global relevance.

He noted that this participation also reaffirms QICCA’s commitment to advancing legal and arbitration practices and to deepening cooperation with regional and international partners, thereby contributing to consolidating the region’s position on the global arbitration map.

For his part, Ibrahim Shahbek said that QICCA will hold more external seminars and events during the coming period, pointing out that the two seminars witnessed great attendance and interaction.

The “Egyptian Arbitration Days” conference brought together a distinguished group of experts, practitioners, and thought leaders in the field of arbitration to discuss emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities.
