Qatar Chamber recently participated in a Qatari investment delegation’s visit to Oklahoma City, USA. The delegation conducted a series of meetings with officials and business leaders in the city, focusing on economic and cultural cooperation between the two sides.

The Chamber was represented by Abdulaziz Al-Kuwari, Director of the Legal Affairs Department.

Al-Kuwari took part in an economic roundtable session that highlighted Qatar’s investment objectives and the favorable economic environment in Oklahoma. Speaking at the session, he discussed trade and investment partnerships between both nations, emphasizing that the U.S. is one of Qatar’s most significant trading partners.

He also outlined Qatar’s efforts in developing its technology infrastructure, underscoring the country’s ambition to become a regional hub for technological innovation in the Middle East. He stressed that the technology sector is a top priority for cooperation, as it plays a crucial role in driving growth across industries such as financial services, industry, agriculture, logistics, and transportation.

Al-Kuwari further stated: “In 2015, Qatar Chamber signed an MoU with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce to strengthen business cooperation. As part of this initiative, the Joint Business Council was established to facilitate trade and investment between the two countries. The Council has undertaken various activities to provide insights into economic, trade, and investment opportunities, culminating in the launch of the U.S.-Qatar Business Portal (portal.usqbc.org), which offers up-to-date information on both economies.”

Furthermore, he highlighted another key agreement, noting that Qatar Chamber had signed an MoU with the Arab American Chamber of Commerce to enhance collaboration between business owners in both regions.
