Qatar Chamber recently took part in activities of the International Day of Social Responsibility, held alongside the International Forum for Sustainable Economy 2026 in Manama. The event was organised by the Regional Network for Social Responsibility, in honourary partnership with UNIDO’s Investment and Technology Promotion Office and the Union of Arab Chambers.
The Chamber was represented at the event by Hussein Yousef Al Abdulghani, Director of the Administrative and Financial Affairs Department.
During the event, the Chamber was honoured in recognition of its efforts in promoting CSR and sustainable practices, during the honouring ceremony for the winners of the 2026 Arab CSR Award – 4th Edition, held as part of the activities of the International Day of Social Responsibility.
Al Abdulghani received the recognition shield on behalf of Qatar Chamber, in the presence of a distinguished group of officials, experts, and representatives from Arab and international organisations dedicated to corporate social responsibility and sustainable development.
On this occasion, Al Abdulghani expressed his pleasure in the recognition, noting that it reflects Qatar Chamber’s commitment to promoting the culture of CSR and embedding sustainability principles across the business sector. He emphasised that corporate social responsibility is a vital pillar for private sector institutions supporting development and serving the community.
He highlighted the Chamber’s focus on encouraging companies to adopt sustainable, responsible practices. He added that this recognition serves as an incentive to advance these efforts, further strengthening the private sector’s role in delivering initiatives with a positive, lasting impact.
The recognition highlights the Chamber’s dedicated support for corporate social responsibility, as well as its commitment to advancing sustainability and encouraging private sector institutions to adopt practices that serve the community and drive sustainable development.
The Arab CSR Award is considered one of the leading initiatives aimed at highlighting best practices in the fields of corporate social responsibility and sustainability, while recognising institutions that make effective contributions to achieving the SDGs and strengthening the role of the business sector in serving communities.
