Qatar Chamber’s First Vice Chairman HE Mohamed bin Ahmed bin Twar Al Kuwari met on Sunday with UN Under-Secretary-General and High Representative for the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States HE Earle Courtenay Rattray and his accompanying delegation.
The meeting reviewed mechanisms of coordination in terms of organizing a forum for the private sector on the sidelines of the Fifth United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries (LDC5) which will take place in Qatar, from 23 to 27 January 2022.
HE Earle Rattray praised the partnership with Qatar Chamber in organising the private sector forum, hoping that the various Qatari economic sectors would participate in this forum, which is an important tool for strengthening cooperation relations between the countries participating in the United Nations conference.
For his part, Al Kuwari praised the vast experience of Qatar in organising the international conferences and forums.
He also expressed Qatar Chamber’s pleasure to support this forum, which will provide a great opportunity to strengthen trade partnerships with least developed countries in a way that help in boosting their development march and transferring them from the list of least developed countries.
