Qatar Chamber’s First Vice-Chairman Mohamed bin Ahmed bin Towar Al Kuwari met a trade delegation from Thailand headed by Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Labour Maj. Romayong Surakitbunharn.
The Thai ambassador to Qatar Nathapol Khantahiran also was present at the meeting.
The meeting touched on discussing enhancing cooperation relations between both sides in labour sides and informing the visiting delegation on the sectors in which Thai labourers can operate in.
Bin Twar said that Qatar and Thailand are linked with distinct cooperation relations in many fields, noting that qualified and trained Thai labourers are highly welcomed to work in projects being implemented by the country and in sectors of tourism, services, healthcare, industry and food security.
Maj. Romayong Surakitbunharn said that Thailand supports developing cooperation ties with Qatar and its National Vision 2030. She expressed her country’s preparedness to provide Qatar with qualifies labourers in various sectors.
“Qatar has managed to achieve a significant development at all aspects. It is growing fast. There are many Thai companies operating in the Qatari market,” she added.
