H.E. Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim, who serves as the Chairman of Qatar International Arbitration and Conciliation Centre (QICCA), received H.E. Cesar Pereira, Global President of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), in the presence of H.E. Dr Sheikh Thani bin Ali Al Thani, QICCA Vice Chairman, and Ibrahim Shahbek, QICCA Secretary-General.
Also attending the meeting was Eng. Saad Hijazi, a member of the Institute’s Board of Trustees representing the Middle East region.
The meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation in arbitration and dispute resolution, exchange expertise and knowledge, and strengthen coordination between CIArb and the Qatar International Centre for Conciliation and Arbitration (QICCA).
The two sides also reviewed the cooperation agreement signed in 2024 and discussed the possibility of organising specialised training programmes and workshops in arbitration in cooperation between the two institutions.
The meeting also addressed opportunities to further develop cooperation and knowledge-sharing between the two institutions, contributing to the development of Qatar’s arbitration and commercial dispute resolution framework.
