Qatar Detergent Co. “QDC” would support ‘Made in Qatar 2016’ exhibition as a sector sponsor, according to a press release issued by Qatar Chamber yesterday.
Scheduled to be held between November 6 – 9, 2016 for the first time Qatar outside Qatar, the expo will be organized on an area of 10,000 sqm. at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition.
Speaking at the agreement signing ceremony, the QDC general manager Hamdy Abu-elkassem said: “The new factory in Mesaieed Industrial City recently opened will contribute in increasing our exports to GCC, Arab and MENA markets, naming it a push towards global markets”
He assured his confidence in the Qatari product to be able to compete In the global level, saying,” Made in Qatar Exhibition is an honoring front to the local industry”.
The event reflects the booming economy of Qatar amid the latest great developments that Qatari industry has witnessed, he added.
For his part, Qatar Chamber Director General Saleh Hamad Al Sharqi said the Chamber appreciates this initiative from the company that will help more in successfully organizing this exhibition and enhancing its role in developing Qatar’s industry.
He thanked the company for this cooperation , praising its leading role in detergent products and its contribution in the industrial sector in general.
The four-day exhibition aims to attract investment in the manufacturing sector while promoting and showcasing locally manufactured products in Saudi markets.
The expo will include a selection of products of leading Qatari companies along with small and medium businesses to introduce Qatari products to Saudi business community.
It also aims to promote Qatar’s industry sector and encourage the use of Qatari products, while updating the Saudi business community on the latest developments in participating sectors.
It also helps provide an opportunity for exhibitors and manufacturers to meet, while directly introducing Qatari products to the Saudi community, and encouraging Saudi businessmen and women to invest in industrial projects in Qatar.
Aside from opening up new markets for Qatari companies abroad and promote the country’s SME sector, the exhibition is a big chance for many local firms and institutions to exchange experiences and secure business deals with their Saudi counterparts, as well as strengthen Qatar-Saudi economic partnership, noted the statement.
It is noteworthy that more than 90% of the exhibition area has been booked. The number of participants, including leading companies and factories, is expected to double compared to the previous edition, which attracted more than 220 companies and factories.
