Qatar Chamber and QDB signed strategic partnership agreement, making QDB a strategic partner of ‘Made in Qatar 2020’. The agreement was signed by board member and chairman of the Industry Committee Rashid bin Nasser al-Kaabi and QDB executive director of Business Finance Khalid Abdulla al-Mana.
Al-Mana, who was also present during the press conference held in the Chamber’s headquarter, said the expo represents a marketing tool to help promote Qatari industry and products, even as he lauded the role it plays in raising awareness and knowledge about products and businesses in the local market.
He also lauded the previous successes of the expo, noting that the upcoming edition in Kuwait “would offer a great opportunity for both sides to exchange expertise, establish new economic alliances, and develop relations that serve the economies of both countries, as well as contribute to their sustainability and prosperity.”
Al-Mana praised the state’s interest in the industrial sector and the 7government’s efforts to develop the sector in line with the country’s strategy that aims to achieve economic diversification, which is a key pillar of the Qatar National Vision 2030.
He said, “The expo represents a forum that gathers Qatari companies and factories under one umbrella to offer an opportunity for manufacturers and businessmen to get acquainted with the Qatari industry and its advantages, and explore what new industries the local market needs.”
