Qatar Chamber Chairman Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim al Thani met with Iran’s Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade (IMT) Khosrow Taj and an accompanying delegation at the chamber headquarters in Doha on Tuesday.
The two sides discussed Qatar-Iran economic and trade relations and ways of enhancing them for the advantage of the two countries’ economy and trade.
The Iranian deputy minister said a large number of Iranian companies are looking forward to entering the Qatari market and establishing trade partnership with Qatari companies.
Taj expressed hope that Wednesday’s meeting in Doha between Qatari and Iranian businessmen would enhance trade between the two countries.
Sheikh Khalifa said Qatar Chamber was ready to act as a bridge between Iranian businessmen and their Qatari counterparts and aims to strengthen the cooperation between the two private sectors of the two countries.
Qatar-Iran trade volume reached QR341 million last year.
