QC helps to create jobs for physically challenged people

The training program “ Basics and Principals of Computer” for 18 trainees from the Qatari Cultural Social Center for the Deaf  has concluded on Wednesday 18th  May, 2016  at Qatar Chamber.

The ceremony was attended by Qatar Chamber Director General Saleh Hamad Al Sharqi, Head of the National Committee for Recruitment of Special Needs Khalid Al Sheaibi, Chairman of the Qatari Cultural Social Center for the Deaf  Abdulla Al Mulla and Genaral Manager Saleh Al Marri.

For his part QC Director General said that the training program came in the frame of the MOU signed with the Committee aiming at rehabilitating and training the physically challenged people to be prepared for the job market.

Al Sharqi assured the Chamber’s readiness to provide all possible support for those untapped potentials, praising the constructive cooperation with the Committee in this regard.

He assured the delegation that the Chamber will organise seminars and training programmes to create awareness among people with disabilities about various job opportunities available in Qatar’s private sector.

Qatar Chamber will also hold meetings with the heads of private sector firms and encourage them to tap the potential of physically challenged people.

Sharqi said that the Chamber will assist in organising skill development programmes for physically disabled people to prepare them for different kind of jobs in the private sector.
