Qatar Chamber hosted Turkey’s Independent Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association (MUSIAD) delegation led by Zeki Güvercin, MUSIAD Member of Board – President International relations and foreign trade commission, in the presence of Hüseyin Karadeniz, Chairman of the Board, Istamonu Fair.
Qatar Chamber Vice- Chairman Mohamed bin Ahmed bin Towar Al Kuwari and the Director-General Saleh bin Hamad Al Sharqi received the delegation. The meeting reviewed ways of enhancing cooperation relations in economic and trade spaces.
The Turkish delegation invited the chamber to participate in BAKAF 2018 expo slated to be held June 27-30, 2018.
The QC Chairman said that Qatar and Turkey enjoy robust relations, noting that Qatar Chamber is keen to strengthen it relation with MUSIAD. He affirmed that the chamber will invite Qatari companies and businessmen to visit the exhibition, assuring that it provides a good opportunity for both sides to hold mutual meetings and establish trade alliances and partnerships.
Saleh Al Sharqi said that both countries’ relations are developing rapidly at all levels, pointing out that the business trip of Qatari businessmen to Istanbul and Azmir in Turkey was of great success. During this visit, about 15 cooperation agreements were signed between Qatari and Turkish companies, he noted.
Sharqi affirmed the importance of mutual visits in enhancing cooperation ties between both countries’ business people at all trade and industrial sectors. He said that the MUSIAD visit to Qatar to promote BAKAF 2010 is one of the positive outcomes of the joint cooperation between both countries’ business community..
Sharqi assured that the exhibition is a platform for businessmen from both sides to explore establishing more alliances that benefit their economies.
Hüseyin Karadeniz said that this visit comes in the wake of the chamber’s director general to Istanbul last year, assuring that BAKAF 2018 is the first of its kind for western areas of the Black Sea. Karadeniz invited Qatar Chamber to participate in the expo an honour guest, noting that Qatari participation will have a positive impact on the expo due to the considerable economic reputation that Qatar enjoys worldwide.
On his part, Güvercin said that the visit of the Qatari businessmen delegation to Istanbul contributed to bridging relations between both countries’ private sector.
