A Qatari business delegation will visit Azmir, a famous port city of Turkey, from August 3- 4 to reviewing prospects of enhancing trade relations between Qatar and Turkey and exploring available investment opportunities in both sides.
The visit is in response to an invitation by Turkey’s Ministry of Economy and Turkish Exporters Assembly, said a statement issued by Qatar Chamber, yesterday.
It further aims at establishing business enterprises and blocs between Qatari and Turkish companies for the benefit of both countries’ economies.
The delegation will be led by QC’s board member Moahmed Mahdy Al Ahbaby, including 50 businessmen.
Commenting on the visit, Al Ahbaby said that the visit will open up the door for discussing ways of expanding trade cooperation among both countries business sectors as well as establishing genuine partnerships.
The robust relations enjoyed by both the countries represented a booster for businessmen to strengthen their ties for the advantage of private sector in both friendly countries, he noted.
Saleh bin Hamad Al Sharqi, QC’s Director General, pointed out that the visit emphasises the depth of relations between Qatar and Turkey and aims to enhance relations between Qatari and Turkish business owners, leading to further cooperation at all various trade and investment fields.
Al Sharqi continued saying that Qatari businessmen are very keen to exploring Turkish market and building economic blocs, assuring that QC agreed with Turkish Chambers Union to intensify visits for the mutual interests of the businessmen from both the countries.
The period ahead will see visits of Turkish delegations to Qatar and there will be a second visit to be organised later, he hinted.
Al Sharqi praised the Turkish stance supporting Qatar amid the GCC crisis, entailing a rapid supply of foodstuffs into the local market through air cargo and the launch of a marine route linking Hamad and Azmir ports.
