Qatar Chamber Board member and Chairperson of Health Committee Ibtihaj Al-Ahmadani recently participated in the “Arab Health Exhibition & Congress 2023”, which was held from Jan 30 to February 2 in Dubai, UAE.
The event showcased the latest innovations and products in the field of healthcare sector.
In a press statement, Al-Ahmadani said the health sector is one of the vital sectors that constantly witness new technical innovations that contribute to the development of health care services.
She also noted that Qatar’s healthcare sector has made great leaps over the recent years, thanks to the insightful vision of the wise leadership, adding that the sector receives great attention from HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
“Qatar’s budget 2023 allocated QR 21.1 billion to the health sector, which represents about 11% of expenditures,” she noted.
She further pointed out that the great development in the healthcare sector and the integration between the public and private sectors in providing health services, contributed to the impressive success achieved by this sector during the FIFA World Cup 2022, stressing that the sector was fully prepared for that global event.
QC Board member mentioned that the Chamber studies to sponsor and organise a comprehensive medical exhibition similar to the Arab Health Exhibition to sheds the light on the latest innovations in the field of healthcare by attracting the leading international companies and highlighting the development of the health sector locally, regionally, and internationally.
