Qatar Chamber explores commercial relations with Nigeria


HE Mohamed bin Ahmed bin Twar Al-Kuwari, First Vice-Chairman of the Qatar Chamber, met on Wednesday, February 28, with Dele Kelvin Oye, President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, and his accompanying delegation.

The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between the Chamber and the Association to benefit business sectors in both countries. Discussions also covered investment opportunities in        .

In his remarks, HE Mohamed bin Twar highlighted the strong relationship between Qatar and Nigeria and expressed his desire to see further development in trade and economic relations between the two countries’ private sectors.

He emphasized that the Chamber urges Qatari business owners to invest in Nigeria and forge partnerships with their Nigerian counterparts. He also pointed to Nigeria’s attractive investment potential and Qatari businessmen’s interest in establishing investments in Africa, particularly Nigeria.

On his part, Dele Kelvin Oye said that Nigeria offers a favourable investment climate with numerous opportunities across various sectors in which Qatari investors can establish businesses.

He described Nigeria’s positive and evolving economic relations, encouraging partnerships between business owners from both nations.

Oye explained that the delegation’s visit aimed to familiarize Qatari businesses with Nigeria’s investment landscape, showcase investment opportunities in Nigeria’s 46 free zones, and explore collaboration opportunities with the Qatar Chamber for future events.
