Qatar Chamber will participate in the 20th Arab-German Business Forum which is organized by the Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Berlin from May 15 to 17.
HE Chairman of Qatar Chamber Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al-Thani will chair Qatar’s delegation to the Forum.
The meetings are aimed at strengthening Arab-German Business relations and increasing cooperation between businessmen from both sides.
The latest developments on the Arab-German economic relations and many topics of interest, notably: manufacturing and technology transfer, the impact of oil prices, education and development, environment and sustainability, infrastructure, the role of women entrepreneurs and economic diversification will be discussed during the Forum sessions.
More than 600 decision-makers, businessmen and experts from the Arab world and Germany are expected to participate in the Forum to discuss the strengthening and expansion of Arab-German economic relations.
The Forum also provides the appropriate framework for establishing a network of contacts between businessmen from both sides and for creating successful cooperation relations between Arab and German businessmen.
The German-Arab economic relations during the past ten years have witnessed important developments in terms of investment and trade. Germany has provided scientific expertise to many strategic projects in the Arab countries, including the implementation of many infrastructure projects in Arab countries and environmental and energy projects in North Africa, which constitutes solid foundations for sustainable economic relations.
The German economy is Europe’s largest economy, accounting for 21% of the EU’s gross domestic product (GDP) and heavily dependent on international trade. With its strategic location in the heart of Europe, stable economic growth, highly developed infrastructure, high efficiency of the labor market and an adequate economic climate, Germany is a key gateway to the European market, which now has more than 500 million consumers.
The German-Arab Business Forum is the most important economic event hosted by Germany with the Arab world, and Oman is the partner State of this year’s economic forum.
