Qatar Chamber announces QPMC as the Diamond Sponsor of “Made in Qatar 2016” held, for the first time outside Qatar, in Riyadh

Qatar Chamber is proud to announce that Qatar Primary Materials Company (QPMC) is the diamond sponsor for ‘Made in Qatar 2016’ exhibition.

Due to be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from November 6 – 9, 2016 for the first time outside Qatar, the expo will spread over an area of 10,000 sqm. at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition, KSA attracting a large number of Qatari manufactures in various fields.

Commenting on this sponsorship agreement, Engineer Eisa Al-Hammadi, QPMC Chief Executive Officer, said:  “QPMC is strongly committed to participate in Qatar’s fast growing construction boom and other rapid growing sectors while contributing to the huge boom in the country’s infra-structure projects. QPMC’s plays an active role in implementing Qatar’s developmental and sustainable goals whilst promoting the construction sector by sustaining a constant feed of premium primary materials and high quality supply chain through its stockpile and constant operations which have a positive impact on the country’s development goals”.

This is the second time QPMC participates in “Made in Qatar” thus demonstrating its concrete commitment in supporting government efforts aimed at upholding the local industries and thus encouraging investors, Al-Hammadi added.

 

About QPMC

Qatar Primary Materials Company was established on the instruction of the Qatari Government in 2006 to provide port service at 3 main primary materials berths in Qatar and develop them to increase capacity. QPMC is also responsible for creating and managing a strategic stockpiles of Gabbro, producing dune and washed sand, in addition to regulating the sale prices of primary materials. QPMC also manages cement silos to store and discharge Imported cement to meet any sudden increased demand. QPMC seeks to ensure that it continuously supplies the local market with primary building materials which help supporting the local construction sector and the Qatari infrastructure.
