The Omani Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Exhibition began at Ezdan Mall giving opportunity for small and medium sized firms to showcase their products. A total of 28 exhibitors from the field of fashion, textiles, antiques, gifts and perfumes are displaying their products in the expo.
The four day exhibition was inaugurated by Qatar Chamber Vice Chairman Mohammed bin Ahmed bin Twar, Ezdan Holding Group Chairman Sheikh Dr Khalid bin Thani bin Abdullah Al Thani and Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman, Najeeb bin Yahya Al Balushi.
The exhibition is organised by the Omani embassy in Doha in cooperation with Oman’s Public Authority for Investment Promotion and Export Development (Ithraa) and the Public Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development (Riyada).
It is designed to replicate an old market to reflect the traditional Omani style. The event attracted wide crowd at Ezdan Mall where it is taking place.
Qatar Chamber Vice- Chairman Mohammed bin Ahmed bin Tawar said that the exhibition provides an opportunity for SMEs to promote their products in the Qatari market, highlighting the importance of that role in economies.
The Qatar Chamber vice chairman pointed to the wide support that the Qatari government offers for entrepreneurs and the state’s efforts to promote SMEs through initiatives and services provided by different state entities, including the Ministry of Economy and Commerce and Qatar Development Bank.
