Qatar Chamber has announced the formation of new committee which will be involved in malls affairs under the Contracting & Studies Committee, according to a press release issued by the Chamber yesterday.
Qatar Chamber chairman HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al Thani said that the development and rapid progress in malls sector in Qatar has prompted us to form such committee.
The committee will deal with all related issues to this sector and will help remove any obstacles facing shopping malls, he added.
H.E. affirmed the importance of shopping malls and commercial complexes sector in attracting global brands, and supporting the growth of the national retail sector, which has become one of the fastest-growing retail sectors in the region.
The State of Qatar has become one of the most attractive markets for retailers in the region, he noted.
The “Malls Committee” will do studies on all obstacles facing the malls and commercial complexes sector to review with the stakeholders for effective solutions.
