Qatar Chamber has announced that the National Mattresses Factory (MATNAFLEX ) and the National Foam Factory are supporting the ‘Made in Qatar 2023’ exhibition as golden Sponsor.
The agreement was signed on Monday October 9 by Saleh bin Hamad al-Sharqi, General Manager of Qatar Chamber and Chairperson of the Exhibition’s Technical Committee, and CEO of the National Mattresses Factory (MATNAFLEX ) and the National Foam Factory Fahd Mohamed Al-Emadi, at the Chamber’s headquarters.
Held under the patronage of the Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the ‘Made in Qatar’ exhibition is organised by the Qatar Chamber in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce & Industry (MoCI) from November 29 to December 2 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC).
In his statements, Saleh al-Sharqi expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the factory for its continuous support of the exhibition. He emphasized the factory’s role in supplying the local market with many high-quality products.
Al-Sharqi also stressed the exhibition’s role in promoting the national industry and fostering communication among businessmen and entrepreneurs in the industrial sector.
He expressed hope that the exhibition would significantly contribute to the further development of the industrial sector, showcasing Qatar’s most prominent products.
On his part, Fahd Al-Emadi emphasized the factory’s commitment to participating in the exhibition and providing support in all previous versions for its role in promoting the national product and industry.
Al-Emadi also noted the expo provides a valuable opportunity to showcase the factory’s products, especially in the context of its expansion plans to manufacture products of high quality at competitive prices.
It’s noteworthy that the ‘Made in Qatar’ expo aims to boost Qatari industry, support the state’s strategy aiming at developing and supporting the industry, promote Qatari industries locally and internationally. It also aims to encourage the utilization of national products, and reduce dependence on imports, in addition to stimulate investors and businessmen to invest in industrial projects.
About MATNAFLEX
MATNAFLEX began manufacturing the first medical mattress in 1985. It is considered the first medical mattress factory in Qatar, which is one of the branches of the Mohammed Abdul Rahim Al Emadi Holding Group, founded in 1956.
In 2000, the National Foam Factory was established as a complement to the existing factory, manufacturing various types of foam with different pressures and densities.
The two factories consist of several different departments in the medical mattress industry, foam industry, beds, and various other furniture products. They depend on modern machinery that meets international standards for manufacturing quality.
The daily production capacity of the factories in various sections is 1,700 pieces for medical mattresses and 800 pieces for various furniture products. This production meets the demands of the local market, while also expanding into new markets in Gulf countries.
The current factory has undergone expansion and is now equipped with state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and modern machinery to increase production capacity, enhance product development with advanced technology, and introduce new products that meet global standards.
MATNAFLEX received three ISO certificates, and there are plans to open new factories in the coming period.
