The third edition of the “Made in China” exhibition has ended in great success and broad turnout on 19 Nov at the Doha Exhibitions & Convention Centre, according to a press release issued by the Chamber.
The exhibition organized by Qatar Chamber was held under the patronage of HE Sheikh Abdulla bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani Prime Minister and Interior Minister form 16-19 Nov, 2017.
The expo was opened by the Minister of Energy and Industry H E Dr Mohammed bin Saleh Al Sada, where more than 80 companies from china displayed latest products.
Qatar Chamber chairman HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al-Thani attended the inauguration ceremony, along with number of senior businessmen and investors.
The four-day expo saw great participation of visitors and businessmen willing to build business ties with Chinese companies and establish alliances and partnerships between Qatari and Chinese companies.
The exhibition aimed to promote quality Chinese products and contributes to cementing economic and trade ties between Qatar and China.
Number of exhibitors and companies representatives praised the way Qatar Chamber organized the expo.
The event, one exhibitor, said was a platform that enabled Chinese companies to display their products in the Qatari market.
“It is a forum gathers manufacturers, importers, agents and representatives to review establishing transactions and building joint partnerships,” he noted.
Exhibitors pointed out that Qatar’s market was promising and attracted all products, especially because of the mega projects being implemented as part of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Chinese companies representatives alluded the keenness of visitors , Qatari companies and businessmen on seeing the latest technology and innovations of Chinese industry, noting that most visitors are businessmen and owners of enterprises which led to more transactions between both sides.
On his part, Qatar Chamber director general said the exhibition was a great success as it facilitated interaction between local businessmen and the 80 Chinese exhibitors, that are specialized in building materials, decoration, solar energy, agriculture, engineering, water recycling and medical devices.
He said the coming edition would attract more companies from more sectors which hadn’t been represented in the last three editions.
The exhibition witnessed fruitful discussions between Qatari and Chinese companies, he said, affirming that some companies agreed to establish genuine partnerships that will lead to bring the cutting-edge Chinese technology into Qatar.
“Besides building commercial alliances to enhance Qatar-China trade relations, the exhibition cemented ties between businessmen in the two countries,” he added.
He added that the previous two editions of the exhibitions were equally successful and saw many alliances being formed that eventually benefited the Qatari economy.
He added that the expo is showcasing China’s latest in terms of construction equipment and technological capabilities demanded by the Qatari market.
“Made in China” was first held in 2015 to create Qatari-Chinese platform that strengthens relations between both countries’ private sectors. The first edition ended with commercial transactions amounted by QR 45million.
It is worth mentioning that Qatar-China trade exchange reached during the first nine months of 2017 $5b.
