Doha, March 05 (QNA) – HE President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania Mohamed Ould Cheikh Mohamed El Ghazouani met the delegation of Qatar Chamber (QC) headed by HE Chairperson of QC Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Thani, on the sidelines of His Excellency’s participation in the 5th UN Conference on Least Developed Countries (LDC5), which kicked off Sunday at Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC).
HE Mauritanian President commended the brotherly relations between his country and the State of Qatar, pointing out the important role that the private sector plays in economic activity. His Excellency called on the private sector in the two countries to enhance joint cooperation in various fields.
HE President Mohamed Ould Cheikh Mohamed El Ghazouani called Qatari businesspersons to invest in Mauritania, where many investment opportunities are available in multiple sectors, emphasizing his welcome to Qatari investors.
For his part, HE Chairperson of QC Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Thani said that the Qatari private sector is keen to identify investment opportunities in Mauritania, especially in industry and agriculture sectors, which many Qatari businesspersons are interested in, stressing the aspirations of many Qatari companies to invest in Mauritania.
