Jordanian and Qatari businessmen and industrialists will meet in an investment fair scheduled to be held in Doha in mid-December.

The Jordanian-Qatari Investment Forum will take place during the period 12-14 December, coinciding with Jordan Industrial Fair being held under the theme” Jordan today”.

Jordan’s Ambassador to Qatar, Zahi Smadi, told Petra’s reporter that the meeting is a great opportunity to boost the economic and trade relations between the two countries. The three-day forum will promote new investment prospects for Qatari investors and Jordanian businesspeople, he added.

Jordanian industrialists and traders representing around 80 local companies will showcase their products at the exhibition, which opens in mid-December.

On the sidelines of the upcoming forum, Jordanian-Qatari Business Council will also convene and discuss economic and trade issues to help develop and upgrade investment opportunities in both countries.

Qatar Chamber Chairman, Sheikh Khlifa Bin Jassim Al Thani said that the meetings between representatives of the two countries represent a significant opportunity to develop and boost all ties not only in the economic domain.

“We will do our best to upgrade our economic relations,” he said, noting that the trade balance between the two countries is still below expectations.
