The fourth phase of the 2017 program to train arbitrators and formally qualify them for the job begins at Qatar Chamber headquarter today (26 March).
The phase titled “Execution or Nullity Arbitration sentence” will be delivered by Dr. El Shehaby Ebrahim El Sharqawy, the international Arbitrator and the lawyer at the Supreme Administrative Court.
The four-day phase will deal with the relation between the implementation of the arbitral award and its cancellation, the basic concepts in implementing the arbitral award, the nullity of the arbitration award in terms of the basic concepts of nullity and a comparative examination of the legislative trends of nullity n the GCC countries.
It will also review the International and regional agreements related to the implementation of the arbitral award.
The 2017 training programme which includes five phases is organised by Qatar International Centre for Conciliation and Arbitration (QICCA) in collaboration with the GCC Commercial Arbitration Centre, with a large number of lawyers, engineers and accountants taking part.
It aims to train and qualify Qataris and GCC citizens as arbitrators to enable them to take up the job of arbitration and settle commercial, financial and investment-related disputes through scientific training programs, the chamber said in a statement.
