Qatar Chamber receives a trade delegation from Uganda


HE Mohamed bin Ahmed bin Twar Al Kuwari, the First Vice-Chairman of Qatar Chamber, met on Sunday December 3 with a delegation from Uganda led by HE Shedrack Nzeire, brother of the President of Uganda, at the Chamber’s venue.

The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between both sides, encouraging Qatari investors to invest in Uganda, and promoting the investment climate and opportunities available in various sectors.”

In his remarks, HE Mohamed bin Twar praised the close relations between both countries, highlighting the mutual visits and agreements signed across various fields. He affirmed that Qatari investors are keen to invest in Africa, with a particular interest in Uganda. He noted that Uganda presents a host of opportunities and is considered an attractive destination for investment.

In turn, HE Shedrack Nzeir said that his country is teeming with investment opportunities in mining, infrastructure, food processing, and construction. He called on Qatari investors to consider Uganda, emphasizing its suitable investment climate.

Nzeir provided an overview of Uganda’s economy, highlighting its potential and strategic location in West Africa, near major markets. He noted that the objective of the visit is to initiate discussions to enhance cooperation and attract Qatari investments to Uganda.
