Qatar Chamber Chairman HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al-Thani participated in the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Arab-French Chamber of Commerce recently held in the French Capital Paris.
The meeting reviewed the activities and events which will be held during the coming year and means to enhancing cooperation relations between France and Arab countries in trade and investment fields.
HE Shiekh Khalifa emphasized the growing relations between Arab countries and France, noting that Qatar Chamber works closely with Arab member chambers in the Arab-French Chamber of Commerce to unify stances towards the various economic and commercial issues in a way that leads to promoting Arab exports to France.
HE referred to the close relations between the State of Qatar and France, stressing the Qatar Chamber’s keenness on bolstering cooperation ties between Qatari businessmen and their counterparts from France.
France an important trade partner to Qatar, he said, adding that their trade volume last year amounted to QR 5 billion, while it reached about QR 4 billion during the first nine months of 2021.
He also stressed that Qatari investors are eager to have access to the French market which is characterized by an attractive investment environment and viable opportunities.
